PSLPD: Drone helps locate children reported missing
Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- January 3, 2021 PSLPD responded to the 2200 Blk of SW Alminar St in reference to two missing children. Police learned that two families were having a play date, when the two children slipped out the front door. They went looking for their older siblings that had just left for a ride on a recreational vehicle.
Police were quickly notified and conducted a quick search of the immediate area, but to no avail. Officer Ghobrial (Pilot) and Officer Thayer (Visual Observer) responded and within minutes located the two children walking along a lake near their residence. Officer Ghobrial hovered high above, safely keeping watch over the children until the family quickly picked them up.
