PSLPD arrest school shooting threat suspect

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) –PSLPD has arrested 20 year old Brandon Kelly for posting threatening messages on social media of a school shooting that was to take place next week at SLW Centennial High School.
He is currently in custody at the Palm Beach County Jail on a $150k bond.

From the St Lucie County Sheriff

Last night the Port St. Lucie Police Department and members of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brandon Tyrique Kelly of West Palm Beach in response to a joint investigation with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office and St. Lucie County School District staff regarding a school shooting threat made on social media that targeted students at St. Lucie West Centennial High School upon their return from winter break.
Kelly has been charged with threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism in violation of Florida Statute 836.10 and is being held in West Palm Beach on $150k bond.
“The safety of our children is a top priority for the Sheriff’s Office, and the swift resolution of this case is a prime example of the effectiveness of the ‘See Something, Say Something’ initiative,” said Chief Deputy Brian Hester.
