A woman in Port St. Lucie is accused of throwing a house party with underage drinkers present. The party happened Saturday night into Sunday morning.
The first deputy on scene found 20 to 30 cars parked along the road, beer and liquor bottles scattered around the yard, and about 100 teenagers in and around the house.
The deputy spoke with 40-year-old Rachael Gates Joseph who said she threw the party for her son who won Homecoming Prince for Centennial High School. She told the deputies she knew about the minors at her house.
According to the report, Joseph said she didn’t know “they had alcohol there.”
Joseph faces a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor by allowing alcohol or drug use at an open house party.
Deputies arrested a second individual after shutting down the party.
