On Thursday Port St Lucie Police responded to the PNC Bank on Darwin Blvd for a possible kidnapping scam.
Officers met with the victim who stated she received a phone call and heard a hysterical woman on the other line. An unknown male then began to speak informing the victim he kidnapped her daughter and wanted all funds removed from the victim’s bank account.
While driving to her bank the victim called her daughter who was actually at home and safe.
The victim called 911 and asked the police to meet her at her bank.
When the fake kidnapper called back the police instructed the unknown male to cease all future contact with the victim.
