Port St. Lucie Police investigating armed robbery of LSO Jewelers
Port St. Lucie Police went to LSO Jewelers at 9:05 this morning. The are located at the 900 block of SW St. Lucie West Boulevard. There were there to investigate an armed robbery.
Officers on scene were told that three suspects got out of a black in color SUV, entered the store, and robbed the employees at gun point.
Information obtained from witnesses described the suspects who entered the store as three black males all approximately 6’ tall all wearing wigs and face masks or heavy makeup. One was wearing a pink jump suit, one wearing all black, one wearing a white jump suit. The driver who stayed in the get-away car was possibly wearing an orange jump suit.
During a search of the area police located one of the suspects running in his boxer shorts (suspect suspected to have stripped clothing off after robbery) through the parking lot of Martin Memorial Hospital, which is located a couple of blocks away from the Jewelers. Three suspects are still at large as St. Lucie County Air Unit and Port St. Lucie Police K-9 continue to search the area.
The following schools went on lockdown during the search of the suspects: La Petite Academy St. Lucie West, Renaissance Charter School on NW Cashmere Blvd, Sunlight Christian Academy, Westgate K-8, and Somerset College Prep School. The lockdown has been lifted.

One of the men that robbed the jewelry store kidnapped a family and forced them to drive him to Ft Lauderdale. He managed to get into a home in King’s Isle. He confronted a 70 year old homeowner and her son’s girlfriend. Then the husband and the son came home. There was a struggle. The suspect forced all four people in their Chevy Traverse. They drove him to Ft Lauderdale and the suspect took off.
