Port St Lucie Police Department Arrest Woman for Child Neglect; Stepfather is still on the run

On April 30, 2021 at approximately 6:19pm, Port St Lucie Police Officers responded to the 200 Blk of SW Parish Terrace.  An Officer with Probation/Parole found a 4-year-old home alone, while conducting a probation check.  The 4-year-old informed Officers he had no idea where his parents went.  Officers estimate the child was left home alone for approximately 45 minutes

While on scene, a motorcycle pulls into the driveway, and Officers encounter, Clinna MacDonald and Deryk Robledo.  Officers on scene explained to them the dangers of leaving a young child home alone.  The couple stated they wanted to take an enjoyable motorcycle ride.

The Probation Officer informed Robledo that he was going to be arrested for violating his probation.  Robledo fled on foot from Officers.

PSLPD Officers took MacDonald into custody, by placing handcuffs on her.  While in the backseat of the patrol vehicle she began to kick the doors.  MacDonald slipped one hand from her handcuff and began hitting the patrol vehicle window.  The handcuff was placed back on her wrist and she began to slip the handcuffs under her legs.  Officers again opened the patrol vehicle to sit MacDonald up, and she attempted to bite one of the Officers.  Eventually MacDonald calmed down.

MacDonald was charged with Child Neglect without great bodily harm and Resisting an Officer without violence.  Charges are pending for Robledo.
