Port St. Lucie man arrested after he leads officers on a car chase through the City.
On April 13, 2016 at around 2:25 pm, Port St. Lucie Police arrested Dustin Siel (DOB 12/13/93, 1599 SW Curtis Avenue, Port St. Lucie) after he rammed his mother’s house then led officers on a chase throughout the City.
Preliminary investigation :
Port St. Lucie Police were called to the 1800 block of SW Buttercup Avenue for reports of a domestic disturbance. As officers were responding to the scene, the complainant told dispatch that her son, Siel, had rammed a car that was parked in her driveway, and then drove his car into the garage of the house. Siel fled the scene in a red Toyota prior to officers’ arrival.
Police intercepted Siel driving in his car at SW Savona Boulevard near SW Gatlin Boulevard. As police were attempting to stop Siel, he took off at a high rate of speed and led police on a chase throughout the City. During the pursuit Siel went northbound in the southbound lane at SW Cashmere Boulevard near SW Crosstown Parkway. An oncoming motorcyclist sustained minor injuries after he laid down his motorcycle to avoid a head-on collision with Siel.
The chase ended when Siel lost control of his car running it into a ditch at SW Airoso Boulevard and SW Fairway Avenue running. Siel fled from the officers on foot but was caught shortly after in the 100 block of SW Fairway Avenue.
Siel was arrested on numerous charges and will be taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
