 Police urge to please remove all valuables from car when parked/ unattended.

Port St. Lucie, Fl- Port St. Lucie Police are investigating a series of Auto Burglaries occurring in public parking lots during the mid-morning to early afternoon hours. On July 30, 2019, between 9:00am -3:00 pm, police responded to two smash and grab auto burglaries in public parking lots. Darwin Square Parking Lot (3235 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd) and Turtle Run Park (1945 SW Cameo Blvd). Both incidents involved forced entry to windows (smashed) and purses/ valuables were the primary target.

On July 30, 2019, at around 2:00 pm, the suspect attempted to use the victim’s credit card at Walgreens located at 2901 SW Port St Lucie Blvd, PSL. The transaction for a pre-paid card valued at $200 was declined.

Video surveillance captured images of the suspect described as: White/ Hispanic male, 5’06 -5’08, short black hair, goatee, gold teeth, neck tattoos, wearing gray long sleeve shirt, dark colored shorts, red shoes and sunglasses.

Also, on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, a victim’s wallet containing her credit cards was taken during the commission of an auto burglary in the rear parking lot of KeKe’s Café, 3235 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd, in which her vehicle window was smashed. At around 2:00 pm,the suspect attempted to purchase a prepaid card using the victim’s stolen credit card at

Walgreen’s located at 2901 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd in Port St. Lucie. The purchase was declined. An additional purchased was attempted at a Sunoco gas station, but was also declined.
