Police continue search for suspect who shot a 3-year old Port St Lucie girl
Port St Lucie, Fl- Port St Lucie Police are still trying to find out more information on the road rage shooting who shot a young child in the head over a week ago. It happened in the early morning hours on Sunday, October 28th. Police believe the victim’s car unintentionally cut off the shooters car. The shooting happened in the 1000 block of SE Blywood Avenue. Officials have released the 911 call after the shooting.
Officers have posted fliers at several businesses looking for information, including bars, coffee shops, and gas stations. They also have a phone line set up, monitored 24 hours a day, ready to take tips. But after a week of spreading the word, Sgt. Joe Norkus said they keep finding people who haven’t even heard of the shooting.
That young girl continues to recover at the hospital. Her family is calling her recovery a miracle in progress.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case. The Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers is offering an additional cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case.
