Fort Pierce Police Chief Diane Hobley-Burney implements the “Front Porch Roll Call Program”
Each day our road patrol squads hold shift briefings at the start of each shift, 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The briefings is where officers receive an overview of crime patterns and other significant information needed for their shift. Previously, all of these roll calls have been held at one of the police stations. In an effort to allow the community an opportunity to meet and interact with our officers, Chief Hobley-Burney has implemented patrol shift briefings to be held throughout the community called the “Front Porch Roll Call Program.” This program will bring one of the four shift roll calls to your front door or in your neighborhood. This will give you the opportunity to meet the officers assigned to your community.
If you would like the Fort Pierce Police Department to hold a “Front Porch Roll Call” at your home, business or neighborhood, please contact the Fort Pierce Police Department at 772-467-6800 and request to schedule a “Front Porch Roll Call”. You will need to leave your contact information, location and the roll call time requested (6:00 am, 8:00 am, 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm). One of our shift commanders will contact you to confirm prior to the roll call.
We believe that a “Front Porch Roll Call,” is a great way for our officers to get to know you, and your neighbors, while providing the community the opportunity to learn about any crime problems your neighborhood might be experiencing.
