Parks and boat ramps under Causeways closed to the public for Triathlon this weekend
The Treasure Coast Triathlon 2015 beginning at the south end of the Jensen Beach Public Beach Parking Lot will take place on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cycling portion of the event will temporarily close the Jensen Beach Causeway Park and boat ramp on Sunday, July 12 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the East Island Park and boat ramp under the Stuart Causeway from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Vehicles and trailers under the bridge at the time of the closure will be towed at the owner’s expense.
The Causeways will remain open to traffic throughout the weekend, subject to heavy traffic controls.
Alternative boat ramps are at the following locations: Broward Street Boat Ramp, 4973 SE Dixie Hwy., Stuart, Charlie Leighton Park, 2701 SW Cornell Ave., Palm City, Hosford Park, 7474 SE Gaines Ave., Stuart, Jimmy Graham Park, 8555 SE Gomez Ave., Hobe Sound, Phipps Park, 2175 SW Locks Rd., Stuart, Sandsprit Park, 3443 SE St. Lucie Blvd., Stuart, Timer Powers Park, 14100 SW Citrus Blvd., Indiantown.
