Oxbow’s Garden Buds Slice into Pizza Gardens Jan. 9

Who doesn’t love pizza? Bring your little ones to the Oxbow Eco-Center’s Garden Buds on Monday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. for “pizza gardens.”

This class is designed to teach children where their food comes from by using something they love to eat…Pizza! Did you know Americans eat about 100 acres of pizza each day? Join us as we plant a pizza garden right here at the Oxbow.

Each month Garden Buds will explore our ever-changing garden. Participants will enjoy planting seeds, caring for plants, crafts, and books and socializing with other children. This program is held the second Monday of each month December through March at 10 a.m. The cost is $5 per class and is appropriate for ages 2-6. Reservations are required by calling 772-785-5833 or emailing oxbow@stlucieco.org.

Located at 5400 NE St. James Drive in Port St. Lucie, the Oxbow Eco-Center is a St. Lucie County Environmental Learning Center encompassing roughly 225 acres along the St. Lucie River. For more information visit www.oxboweco.com.
