Open Recreation Days with Pickleball and Basketball Resume at the Fenn Center

FORT PIERCE – St. Lucie County’s Parks & Recreation Department is once again offering open recreation days featuring pickleball and basketball inside the Havert L. Fenn Center, starting Tuesday, Dec. 14.

Residents of all ages are welcome to participle in pickleball and basketball games on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. inside the Fenn Center gym, located at 2000 Virginia Ave. Admission is $4 per person. There will be no open recreation on Jan. 19, 25 and 26 due to pre-scheduled events.

The open recreation pickleball and basketball program initially launched in August but was put on hold as the Florida Department of Emergency Management used the Fenn Center for as the regional Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Treatment Site.

The state-run Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Treatment program is now offered at the St. Lucie Fairgrounds, Building C, located at 15601 Midway Road in Fort Pierce, operating Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until further notice. Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Treatment is for patients diagnosed with COVID-19 or considered high risk if infected. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged and can be made at patientportalfl.com.
