North County Aquatic Center, Sebastian, Florida, is a popular community center known for swimming and other aquatic activities. With multiple pools like a competition pool, a diving well, and an activity pool, there’s a place for any swimming desired.
The activity pool is designed for children as a zero-entry pool. It has slides, a fun water tree, bubblers, and a water play structure.
The competition pool is incredibly large. With 24 short course lanes, it’s equipped for multiple lap swimmers and each lap is 25 yards. For those desiring longer, more challenging laps, there are 8 long course lanes measuring 50 meters long. Each lane is capable of accommodating 5 lap swimmers simultaneously.
The diving well has two diving boards to suit your needs. One is the short one meter and the other measures three meters.
The pools (except the activity pool) are open year-round as they are heated during the winter. The North County Aquatic Center encourages large groups and parties. Party rentals are available through the main office.
Only the lap pool uses reservations beyond scheduling a party. You call ahead to reserve a time slot for one of the 8 long course lanes or one of the 24 short course lanes.
There are several options for your visit with day passes, one-month passes, three-month passes, and an annual pass. Day passes are on a graded scale according to age and range from free to almost $6. Call the center or check their webpage for the current prices and options.
Safety is paramount and due to the quickly changing nature of the local weather the facility has a three-tier system for determining dangerous swimming conditions: Thor Guard Lightning Prediction System, Intellicast.com, and Staff Auditory and visual awareness. Should your visit be interrupted by an electrical storm, your stamped receipt can be used as a rain check. Talk to the front desk to make arrangements.
