National Anthem Tryouts
The New York and St. Lucie Mets have announced they will be holding an open tryout for anyone interested in singing the National Anthem preceding each game. The tryouts will be held on Saturday, January 16th at Tradition Field, starting at 10:00 am.
Individuals will be selected based on their performance during the tryouts. All participants are asked to call Cynthia at 772-871-2100 to pre-register. There is no age requirement. Everyone is invited to participate.
In addition to the tryouts, January 16th is also opening day for individual ticket sales to all New York Mets Spring Training games. Individual tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis for Mets vs Yankees, Red Sox, Tigers, Cardinals, Astros, Braves, Marlins and Nationals. Ticket windows will open at 10:00 am.
A youth baseball clinic will be held from 1-3pm for children 7-13 years of age. There is a $10 fee to participate with the proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. Each participant will also receive a ticket to the 2016 St. Lucie County Fair and the 37th Annual Greek Festival.
