Multiple tips lead detectives to robbery arrest in Indian River
Indian River, Fl (treasurecoast.com) -The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is thanking the public for the multiple leads that lead to a robbery arrest.
They posted the following:
“A huge Thank You goes out to members of the community who sent tips to Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers and to the Sheriff’s Office directly after those tips led to the arrest of a robbery suspect.
The tips helped our detectives identify the suspect as Juan Delacruz Santana Urena III, who was ultimately arrested in St. Lucie County on a charge of robbery sudden snatch.
“This case is a prime example of why the community’s help is needed,” Detective Sunkel said. “Without the several tips identifying Urena, detectives would still be working on identifying a suspect. Thank you to everyone who assisted in this case.”
Our investigation determined Urena robbed a victim at Cindi’s Pet Center, located in the 700 block of US 1 in Vero Beach, on Dec. 9. Urena then fled the scene and ended up in St. Lucie County, where our Fugitive Apprehension Unit took him into custody without incident.
He is currently being held in the St. Lucie County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.”
