The Sunshine State’s path to the Miss USA/Miss Teen USA National Program is one of the most respected in the industry, offering a fabulous opportunity: a LIVE national network telecast seen by over 5 million viewers worldwide! This is the perfect opportunity for our state’s young women to represent their city or region and get involved in their community. WHAT: The Miss Florida USA® and Miss Florida Teen USA® Pageants are the official qualifiers towards Miss Teen USA®, Miss USA® and Miss Universe®. Each delegate has to qualify at a local preliminary pageant and either win her way to state or qualify as a local finalist, or win a Miss Photogenic or Miss Amity award. Qualifiers can have the option of competing at the state level if they pay the registration fee. WHO: Miss Florida Teen USA® Pageant is open to all women of the Sunshine State of Florida, between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. All delegates must be USA citizens and residents of Florida for 6 months, never been married or had a marriage annulled, never given birth to a child and I represent and warrant that I am a female (recognized medically and legally as a female in the United States). WHY: Over 5 Million viewers statewide and internationally see our broadcasts in July and January as the shows enter their thirty-first and twentieth years. They are truly traditional viewing choices and our www.YouTube.com/MissFloridaUSA Channel has just entertained its 1 millionth view. There are also several scholarships and prizes awarded. COMPETITION: There are 3 categories in which each contestant will be judged: personality, swimsuit, and evening gown. Each category counts equally. There is no talent competition in the Miss USA Systems. The 2016 Miss Teen USA will be held in Hollywood, Florida from October 2nd-4th, 2015.
This will be the first year that the Martin County Fair is represented in the state-wide pageant. Miss Martin County Fair 2015, Jordan Bessette will be the first fair queen to participate in the Miss Florida Teen USA, with the opportunity to advance to the Miss Teen USA pageant.
