Fans can purchase tickets to spring training games in several places. The best place to buy tickets is through the MLB website, but you can also use plenty of third-party sites that you trust. Mets fans can call (772) 871-2115 or visit MLB to purchase tickets and see available seats.

Where is the Mets Spring Training Field?

For decades, the Mets have held spring training at Clover Park. Clover Park is a host for many local events in Port St. Lucie and is a beautiful stadium with inviting areas to hang out and colorful murals celebrating the Met’s history. The stadium is clean and fresh, with nice concession stands and a Jim Beam Bourbon Bar.

The stadium, operated by St. Lucie County, was built in 1988 as the team’s spring and summer home. It has undergone multiple name changes over the years. When it originally opened in 1988, it was called Thomas J. White Stadium, but it’s also been known as Tradition Field, Digital Domain Park, and First Data Field.

Clover Park is an important part of MLB history. Players who are on their way to the majors have to make a stop in Port St. Lucie. The stadium is also the recovery place for injured Mets players who rehab at the complex before returning to the majors.

Although Clover Park was built in 1988, the stadium is still shiny and new, thanks to continued improvements and renovations. In 2016, St. Lucie County and the Mets agreed to renovate the stadium in exchange for an increase in rent from the Mets. The Mets also agreed to continue spring training in Port St. Lucie until 2042.

The Mets’ Juan Soto Deal

The 2025 Mets spring training season will also be exciting because the Mets landed free-agent outfielder Juan Soto. Soto’s new position on the team is a big deal in the MLB community. Soto has previously played for the Washington Nationals, New York Yankees, and San Diego Padres.

The team agreed to a record-breaking deal and one of the largest contracts in MLB history. Soto signed with the Mets for 15 years for $765 million. The large sum places the baseball star’s annual salary at $51 million. Because of the Mets, Soto is now the highest-paid MLB player in the league.

Soto isn’t the only baseball star the Mets want on the team. Sports analysts believe the team will try to make a deal with Kyle Tucker once he hits the open market. However, that has yet to be determined.

Soto’s new position on the team will likely compel fans to flock to Clover Park in Port St. Lucie once the Met’s spring training season starts. Soto brings an exciting element to the season and is a boost for the Mets fan base. The Mets now have a formidable team that is sure to bring more wins for the 2025 season.
