The search for a missing 35-year-old man from Stuart has come to a tragic end. Stuart police announced Thursday that the body of Maverick J. Miller was recovered in the St. Lucie River behind a home.
Law enforcement officials had been searching for Miller since September 27th after his wife reported him missing. He was last seen at the Crafted Keg in Stuart on Monday around midnight, according to witnesses.

On Tuesday morning, police received a call from a citizen reporting that he located clothing, a wallet, shoes, and a cell phone on the top of the New Roosevelt Bridge. Officers responded and began searching the local waterways. Using the identification found on the bridge, officials were able to contact Miller’s wife who told officers he was threatening to jump off of the bridge the night before
