Martin Sheriff: Man’s decomposed body found off Bridge Road

Hobe Sound, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – The decomposing body of a man was recovered from a water-filled ditch off the shoulder of a road in Hobe Sound.

On Thursday afternoon, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office was called to a deceased person on the south shoulder of Bridge Road just west of the entrance to the Becker Tree Farm’s driveway.

MCSO Crime Scene Detectives are working the discovery of a body just off of SE Bridge Road (SR708), east of I95. The crime scene will cause some slowdowns of traffic in that area for the next several hours. If possible, please seek an alternate route. If you must take that route, please be mindful of the police activity, watch your speed and keep your eyes on the road. We will update as information becomes available.

A decomposed body of a White/ Male was located in a water filled ditch on the south shoulder of County Road 708 (Bridge Road) just west of the entrance to Becker Tree Farm driveway.

The driveway is located approximately 3700 feet east of I-95. The bicycle was located by a working in the area earlier in the week.

Martin County SO was called to a deceased person on the south shoulder of Bridge Road just east of I-95 and requested FHP assistance. The individual was located by a construction crew and is in early stages of decomposition. A bicycle with damage consistent with a crash was located in the area by a nearby business. There are no vehicles on scene. FHP Traffic Homicide Investigation is on scene investigating.
