The Martin County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will host an Open House for its Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Action Plan. The Open House will allow the public an opportunity to give input regarding safety concerns and problematic areas within the County for cyclists and pedestrians alike.
The Open House will take place from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13th at the City of Stuart Commission Chambers, 121 SW Flagler Ave in Stuart. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn about bicycle and pedestrian crashes in Martin County between 2010-2015 and potential solutions to increase safety. Display maps will also be present showing local crash hotspots and bicycle/pedestrian crash severity.
With the Open House format, the public can stop in any time between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. or stay the full duration of the event. There are bus routes to and from this location. For more information please call 772-463-2860. All Martin County buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and bike racks. To view the Open House flyer, please visit www.MartinMPO.com.
