Martin County: NC priest arrested for Road Rage
William Rian Adams, 35, was arrested in connection for a road rage incident on Florida’s Turnpike near Palm City last Wednesday.
Adams is a priest at Calvary Episcopal Church in Fletcher, N.C. He was driving a red Chevrolet Corvette when he “attempted to brake-check” a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck. He said that theSilverado was closely following his Corvette.
The people in the Silverado said that Adams pointed a semi-automatic hand gun at them.
Adams said when he was pulled over that someone in a blue truck rolled down their window, yelled at him, and threw a soda bottle at his vehicle.
Adams told FHP he had a gun underneath his passenger seat and a magazine in his glove box. He claims he never pulled his gun.
Adams faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was taken to the Martin County jail. Bond was set for 7500.00
