Martin County Parks and Recreation to host Beach Party this weekend to celebrate Parks & Recreation Month
Martin County Parks and Recreation is hosting a totally rad 80’s Beach Party at Stuart Beach, Saturday, July 11 from 4-8:00 p.m. in celebration of National Parks & Recreation Month! All dudes and dudettes are invited out for this free public event and party to all of the freshest jams from the 1980’s.
This July, Martin County Parks and Recreation and the National Recreation and Park Association are celebrating 30 years of Park and Recreation Month and the enduring importance of parks and recreation for the world. Parks are the cornerstone of nearly every community, serving millions of people as the places anyone can go to be active, live healthier, connect with nature and gather together. Parks and recreation make our lives and communities better. On July 7, 2015, the Martin County Board of County Commissioners declared July as Parks and Recreation month in Martin County.
At 5:30 p.m. there will be an awesome beach clean-up to help keep our gnarly beach clean! All interested volunteers will need to pre-register with Parks & Recreation and may do so by emailing VolunteerParks@martin.fl.us. Like, totally!
Volunteers are advised to bring plenty of water, sunscreen and comfortable clothing. We will provide the tools. You bring the manpower and excitement!
