Man jailed after being found with warrants from two-year-old PSLPD investigation

 

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) -On May 15, 2021 Port St Lucie Police Officers responded to the 100 Blk of SW Ray Ave about a disturbance.  Once on scene, Officers came in contact with Terry Kessler (5/5/1961).  A records check revealed he had warrants from a PSLPD investigation that was reported on July 23, 2018.  The victim reported that on July 23, 2018 someone stole his wallet from his vehicle.

PSLPD Detectives learned that there was a total of 7 transactions or attempts at 1780 NE Jensen Beach Blvd-Publix Supermarket.  On July 23, 2018 at 8:28am and 8:29am, Kessler successfully withdrew $202.95 on each occasion.  There were four more attempts on the same date.  There were two other attempts on July 24, 2018 and July 31, 2018.

Kessler made 4 additional attempts at the Shoppes of Victoria Square on July 23rd, July 24th, and July 31st. There were two additional attempts on July 23, 2018 at Publix on 9100 S US Hwy 1.

At the time the warrants were issued, Port St Lucie Police Detectives were unable to locate Kessler.  Kessler is being charged with Communications Fraud, Criminal Use of Personal Identification, Possession of a Stolen Credit Card, Fraudulent Use of Credit Card, Third Degree of Grand Theft.  Kessler is currently being held on $185,000 bond.
