On 11/27/16 at approximately 5:52 AM, officers investigated the report of a disturbance at a residence on S. Orange Street. Upon arrival, officers determined probable cause existed to arrest Joe Cabrera for felony battery, domestic violence by strangulation.
The investigation revealed that Cabrera and the victim argued over money and their living arrangement. He allegedly became enraged at the victim and choked her while pinning her against a wall in their home. The incident was witnessed by a relative.
The victim was treated at the hospital for her injuries and released. Cabrera was located a few hours later at another residence and taken in to custody without incident.
