The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has sent two members of the agency’s Honor Guard to attend the funeral of Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth. Deputy Goforth was viciously ambushed and murdered while pumping gas at a suburban Houston gas station last week.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has asked all law enforcement across Texas to honor Deputy Goforth’s memory. Meanwhile, the National Sheriffs’ Association is asking everyone to take part by wearing blue, and observing a moment of silence at 10 a.m. ET tomorrow.
