Kitten saved from ledge on Roosevelt Bridge

Stuart, Fla- A kitten taking a nap on the ledge at the Roosevelt bridge was rescued by Martin County Animal Service Officers.

Concerned motorists called in reporting that a kitten was on a ledge on the Roosevelt Bridge yesterday. The 8-week old kitten had stopped at the top of the bridge and was settling in to take a nap. Motorists were concerned that the cat would fall off the bridge and into the water.

Officers Guile and Belknap went to work and talked the kitten off the ledge into their arms. They then took her to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.
