Palm Beach County Teaming Up with Gray Mockingbird Community Garden and FAU for Kids Summer Fun Day
The Palm Beach County Office of Community Revitalization (OCR), Gray Mockingbird Community Garden, and Florida Atlantic University’s School of Social Work will host the Kids Summer Fun Day in the Garden this Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center (home of the Gray Mockingbird Community Garden), 2000 North D Street, in Lake Worth.
This free event will be in collaboration with the Scottish Rite Center, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Agvocacy, Cayuga Centers, and other organizations coming together to help families in need.
Kids Summer Fun in the Garden is an outreach initiative intended to give children in need an enjoyable experience in a garden setting. Families will be provided with free hygiene items, school supplies, and other items. There will be free food and refreshments.
There will be a water slide, a bounce house, a straw pile with prizes, sports activities, games, art and crafts, a live farm animal petting zoo and much more for the children to do.
