Yesterday, hundreds gathered at the Grace Place in Stuart, to celebrate the life and career of Lt. Marvin Wilkinson.
Lieutenant Wilkinson was hospitalized with serious injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. He passed away from complications stemming from the surgery to address those injuries.
Lieutenant Wilkinson had 20-years of distinguished service with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. He began his career as a drill instructor at our boot camp in 1995. In 1997, he transferred to our Corrections Department, where he spent the duration of his career. In 2005, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Just last year, Sheriff William Snyder promoted him to rank of Lieutenant.
