House fire in Ft. Pierce displaces five

At 10:04 am today, Feb 11,2018, crews responded to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Maple Drive in Ft. Pierce. The fire originated in a back room and extended into the attic. A closed door was credited for keeping the fire from getting to the rest of the structure. A family of five was displaced due to extensive fire and smoke damage. The cause is under investigation.
