The Hope for Families Center in collaboration with National Hunger and Homeless Awareness week (NHHAW Week), November 14th through November 22nd, 2015 is hosting its Open House on Friday November 20th 2015 between the hours of 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at 720 4th Street, Vero Beach.
44% of families in Indian River County struggle to meet basic needs of housing, food and clothing. And 1 of 2 children here live in poverty. “The Hope for Families Center (HFC), provides programs that takes people step by step into a journey of change; a journey from homelessness to hopefulness. We invite everyone to come to our open house to see all we do! Says Mary Ellen Maguire, Executive Director of HFC.
Highlights of the evening include:
- Tour of the facilities
- Bounce house for children
- Live Band
- Performances by the children
- Refreshment to include hot dogs & hamburgers
