Head-on collision with tractor-trailer kills Hobe Sound man
Martin County, Fl (treasurecoast.com) A head-on collision with tractor-trailer killed a Hobe Sound man this morning in Martin County.
Report from FHP:
Vehicle 1 was an SUV driven by a 52 yo male from Hobe Sound. He sustained fatal injuries.
Vehicle 2 was a Truck Tractor driven by a 44 yo male from Pahokee.
Vehicle 1 (V-1) was traveling westbound on State Road 76 (SW Kanner Hwy) west of SW Warfield Blvd. Vehicle 2 (V- 2) was traveling eastbound on SW Kanner Hwy west of SW Warfield Blvd. For reasons yet to be determined, V-1 traveled into V-2`s lane of travel. As a result, the front of V-1 collided with the front of V-2. Post-collision V-1 became fully engulfed in fire. V-1 came to final rest in the north grass area facing west. V-2 came to final rest in the eastbound lane, facing southeast. The driver of V-1 (D-1) was pronounced deceased on scene.
