Vero Beach locals will have many opportunities to celebrate Halloween before the holiday arrives. There will be a range of fun Halloween events in Vero Beach for kids and adults, from trunk-or-treats to spooky historical presentations. This year, the city will offer great local options for a safe Halloween. Below are some of the most talked-about Halloween events in Vero Beach, Florida.

City of Vero Beach Halloween Parade and Costume Contest

The City of Vero Beach’s Recreation Department is having its 64th annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest. The City encourages everyone to come dressed in their best Halloween costume. Prizes will be given for the best costumes. The parade will be a fun event with floats and walking groups and begins at 10 AM.

There’s no entry fee to enter a car or float, and locals are encouraged to apply. The best-decorated cars and floats will also receive prizes. However, the goodie bags and costume contests are for children only. The Halloween Parade and Costume Contest is on October 26th and is sponsored by the Mulligans Beach House Bar and Grill. 

McKee Botanical Gardens Halloween Event

McKee Botanical Gardens invites Treasure Coast locals to visit the garden for Halloween crafts, games, and face painting. The event is great for kids and adults who want a safe, fun space to celebrate Halloween. General admission to the Gardens is required to attend the event, although members can get in for free. Tickets can be purchased online or in person. The event is on October 31st from 10 AM to 4 PM. McKee Botanical Gardens Halloween Event is at 350 US Highway 1, Vero Beach, Florida.

Indian River County’s Spooky Secrets Series

The Emerson Center presents a renowned ghost and paranormal investigator who knows all the spooky secrets about Indian River County. Larry Lawson is very knowledgeable about the haunted history of Indian River County and will provide a presentation about the region’s eerie past. The spooky parts of the Treasure Coast that most people don’t know about will be revealed in the lecture. The lecture is on October 29th at 7 PM at The Emerson Center. Admission is free, but a ten-dollar donation is encouraged. The event is located at 1590 27th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida. 

Trunk or Treat at The East Coast Boba Company

The East Coast Boba Company is having a trunk-or-treat event on October 8th. It’ll be a fun spot to attend. East Coast Boba will have a bounce house, vendors, and plenty of boba tea. The event will be held from 5 PM-8 PM and is excellent for all ages. The East Coast Boba Company is at 1418 16th St., Vero Beach, Florida. 

Halloween Trunk or Treat Party

Dr. Zoey Orthodontics will host a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat Party. The event will be filled with treats for little kids, offering an excellent option for locals who want to visit multiple trunk-or-treats. Visitors will hear great music and food trucks will be present. The Halloween Trunk or Treat Party is on October 24th, starting at 2 PM. The event is at 2145 Indian River Blvd, Vero Beach, Florida.

Haunted House at CW Willis Family Farms

In the past, CW Willis Family Farms held the Jeep or Treat, with cool cars, tons of candy, and dressed-up visitors. This year’s haunted house will have new characters and the entire house is redesigned. Tickets are $10 for single entry, $12 for unlimited entry.

The event will be on October 25th and 26th from 6 to 9 PM. The Family Farms is located at 3700 9th St SW, Vero Beach, Florida. 

Crossover Mission’s Trick or Treat Trail

Crossover Mission is a remarkable non-profit organization that helps kids through year-round basketball training and academic mentoring programs. This year, the non-profit is hosting a trick-or-treat trail, including indoor trick-or-treating, concessions, music, vendors, and a food truck for hungry attendees. There will also be a costume contest and raffles. Prizes will be given to three individuals. One will receive the most original costume prize, and the others will receive the best overall costume and the best group couple costume. The Trick or Treat Trail is held Friday, October 11th, from 5-8 PM. Crossover Mission is at 4425 US-1, Vero Beach, Florida. 

Trunk or Treat at Outback Steakhouse

Outback Steakhouse is having its annual Halloween event on October 28th. The restaurant will have fun activities for kids attending the Vero Beach location. There will be plenty of candy, and community members are encouraged to come and join in the fun by handing out candy or helping with decorating trunks. As a bonus, kids can eat free at the restaurant that day. The event is from 2PM to 5PM. Outback Steakhouse is located at 6040 Elon Ln, Vero Beach, Florida. 

New Deco Halloween Show

The New Deco Halloween event will be an intimate evening of music, dancing, and modern Halloween fun. The show will feature a range of musical styles with spooky themes and sounds. People who enjoy theater, music, dancing, and drama will love the event. The show is performed by a talented line-up of singers, musicians, and dancers who know how to entertain an audience. The New Deco Halloween Show is in the Old Courthouse in Vero Beach at 2145 14th Avenue. Tickets for the show start at $150. 

Haunted Barn and Maze at Southern Oaks Barn

Instead of a haunted house, Vero Beach locals can visit a haunted barn this Halloween. This year, the Southern Oaks Barn will transform into a haunted space for Halloween. Visitors can also have fun exploring a new maze. The event is on October 4th from 7 to 10PM. The cost to visit the barn is $10. Southern Oaks Barn is at 6580 69th Street, Vero Beach, Florida. 

Candlelight: Halloween Classics at the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts

Vero Beach is known for its fantastic art scene, which thrives year-round, including during Halloween. This year, the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts is hosting a Candlelight concert with music inspired by Halloween. The performance is an hour long, and the event has an age requirement of eight years old and up. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The concert will include hits like Michael Jackson’s Thriller, The Adams Family and Ghostbusters theme song, and many other spooky tunes. Music will be performed by the Listeso String Quartet. The event is on October 31st from 10PM to 11:15PM. Tickets start at $37. The Candlelight Halloween Classics event is at 1895 St Edwards Dr, Vero Beach, Florida.  

Frightening Virtual 4K

The Frightening Virtual 4K is a running event sponsored by the Running Zone Foundation and Run Vero. The race is virtual so that participants can run the 4K on any course they choose and run wherever they like. The event is great for all ages, and registration pricing is based on age. The cost to register for ages 12 and under is $20. Those over the age of 12 must pay a $35 race fee plus a $3.50 signup fee. Participants who do not want to receive a shirt or medal will get a five-dollar discount at checkout. Registration for the race ends October 24th at midnight.
