Gun violence is an all-too-common disturbance for those in Fort Pierce.

Now, police are investigating multiple high end car thefts in other cities that are linked to the frequent shootings in Fort Pierce.

Cars left unlocked are stolen, and those same vehicles are later used to do drive by shootings in Fort Pierce. Then, the shooters dump the cars in canals or nearby cities.

A white Infiniti was stolen near the island portion of Vero Beach. That same car was later used in the double shooting in Fort Pierce Tuesday. Hours later, the same car, is found ditched near the county line.

Most of the vehicles stolen in Vero and other cities are left unlocked in what are considered upscale neighborhoods.
