Governor Rick Scott Issues Proclamation Honoring Landmark Law


Governor Rick Scott has issued a proclamation honoring a landmark law that turned 25 years old on Sunday.

The Americans with Disabilities Act was supposed to make society more accessible for persons with a variety of handicaps. Barbara Palmer, who runs the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, says A-D-A has made a world of difference

Most Americans with a physical or intellectual disability are NOT employed… but Governor Rick Scott says Florida is making progress.

State agencies have helped more than 44-thousand disabled persons find jobs over the past four years
