FUGITIVE WANTED ON COUNTY AND FEDERAL WARRANTS ARRESTED IN GAINESVILLE

Gainesville, Fl (treasurecoast.com) -Back on December 24, 2020, Carl “Sasha” Santos, 31, broke into a home in northern St. Lucie County, battered an individual and stole items from the home.

Since that day, Santos has been on the run.

This week, members of the United States Marshals Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (Gainesville Division) located Santos in the Gainesville area and arrested him on not only the active warrants out of St. Lucie County, but on numerous additional federal warrants and warrants issued by Alachua County.

“I would like to thank our dedicated detectives who continued to pursue this fugitive as well as the members of the Mashals Task Force and law enforcement in Gainesville for their work in bringing Santos into custody,” said Chief Deputy Brian Hester. “Making this arrest is one more step in bringing justice to the victims terrorized by Carl Santos.”
