FORT PIERCE – The Fort Pierce Branch Library’s ArtSpace features Fort Pierce Central High School Visual Arts Teacher Heather Blackmon-Gordon now through Jan. 2.
A painter, photographer and teacher, Blackmon-Gordon describes this exhibit as a focus on the unseen beauty of nature and the intrusion of commercial objects in our lives. These paintings and photographs document the aesthetics of the natural environment and the visually harsh fast food advertisements that inundate our lives.
The Fort Pierce Branch Library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Residents interested in displaying their artwork as part of the Fort Pierce Library’s non-commercial ArtSpace area should contact Librarian Shelia Small at 772-462-2199 or smalls@stlucieco.org. This is not a commercial venue. Artwork is displayed for enjoyment purposes only.
