Former Student Breaks Into Treasure Coast High

High1

A former student at Treasure Coast High School told police he broke into his old school just to contact his grandmother.

Police used surveillance video to track down the suspect, identified as Aaron D. Richardson.

Police say Richardson drove around the school in a golf cart before breaking into the school’s cafeteria. He then tried to use a computer to contact his grandmother via Facebook.  When that failed, police said he punched the computer out of anger.

Richardson was charged with trespassing, criminal mischief, petit theft, and burglary of the school.

Police did not go far to make the arrest. Richardson was already in the St. Lucie County Jail, on an un-related arrest.
