A former mental health care technician is accused of abusing a disabled adult.
Port St. Lucie Police and the Medicaid Fraud Unit with Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office arrested Byron Pressley. Police initially arrested him on a warrant that he had out.
Investigators say the 22 year old Pressley punched a resident in the face at the Treasure Coast Forensic Treatment Center in Indiantown.
The incident happened in the view of a surveillance camera, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Pressley faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
