Florida Family finds $1M of Sunken Treasure

Gold

This historic salvage operation resulted in a major find. Queens Jewels, LLC., said it recovered 60 gold artifacts from shipwrecks from the 1715 Treasure Fleet, which sank off the Treasure Coast some 300 years ago.

Gold coins and gold chains were found. The family found one coin that is worth half a million dollars.

The 1715 fleet of 11 galleons sailed out of Mexico to Cuba, destined for Spain, but a hurricane sent the ships to the bottom of the sea on July 31, 1715.

Treasure hunters believe they are close to finding the mother lode worth $400 million.

Those would include the Queen’s Jewels.
