Martin County, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- The first leatherback nest of the 2020 nesting season has been documented!
It was observed and photographed by citizen on south Hutchinson Island in Martin County.

The nest was officially marked by Ecological Associates Inc.once verified that it was indeed a leatherback nest.
This is the earliest leatherback nest documented in Florida to date.
