Battery arrest:
Officers responded to investigate a disturbance on January 11 at about 9:40 PM at 190 S. Lime St.
Upon arrival officers learned that a physical altercation occurred between Luis David Sanchez and his adult male roommate. The incident was witnessed by Sanchez’s girlfriend. They all had been drinking together.
The parties disagreed as to why the altercation occurred in the first place. Officers were able to determine that Luis punched the victim in the face. The victim walked outside.
Luis allegedly followed the victim, hit him again and knocked him to the ground. Once down, Luis allegedly began to kick the victim in the head and face. At one point, he kicked the victims head into a 4X4 post that was laying on the ground. The victim sustained injuries that were consistent with his statements.
Luis was arrested for battery and transported to the Indian River County Jail without incident.
