Carnival Cruise Lines in Miami is promising a full investigation after a 66 year old electrician aboard the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship was killed while working on an elevator during the final leg of a three-day cruise from Miami.
Jose Sandoval Opazo of Liguria, Italy, died Sunday as a result of an apparent accident.
Grissley video of the accident on an elevator went viral.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Officials say Carnival’s care team is providing support to Opazo’s family.
