Dr. Lee Supports Arts at Boys & Girls Club

Dr. Lee Supports Arts at Boys & Girls Club.

Dr. S. Darrell Lee was invited to a special ceremony at the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County’s Garden Terrace Unit.  Dr. Lee was presented a plaque in recognition of his continued support of the organization.

Dr. Lee recently donated $2,000, which the Garden Terrace Unit used to create art instruction classes for its members.  The children will explore creative solutions that promote and affect social engagement, social interaction and community building within a range of social challenges.

Each one hour class will each have 20 students (ages 5-12) and last for 9 weeks.  Club members will learn about water colors, pastels, acrylic, scratch board painting, mosaic and multimedia painting.

“It’s exciting to see the growth of these young club members,” said Dr. Lee.  “They embrace each opportunity and are eager to learn as many new experiences as possible. The staff is doing a great job with the children.”

Dr. Lee is the owner/founder of Lee Plastic Surgery and Laser Center in Port St. Lucie.  He is an accomplished Board Certified plastic surgeon; a graduate of New York Medical College where he completed his medical school and residency training in General Surgery.  He earned his Board Certification in General Surgery from the American Board of Surgery and completed his Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at the World-Renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
