Just recently, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office utilized the CodeRED Emergency Notification System to alert residents of a missing child.

Within minutes of the critical incident taking place, the system sent a recorded 911 reverse phone call to homes, businesses, and cell phones with the specific details of the incident. While the phone calls were being sent out, CodeRED text messages and emails mirroring the phone message were also being distributed.

This is Martin County’s new CodeRED Emergency Notification System.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office utilizes this system for critical emergency events like missing children, evacuations, or any event which may affect public safety.

The CodeRED system is made possible by Martin County Fire Rescue and Emergency Management Agency. It is an “opt in” program, which means, you need to register your home or business if you would like to be on this emergency notification system.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office will continue to utilize this tool to keep you informed of critical incidents taking place in your neighborhood.

If you would like to sign up for the CodeRed Emergency Notification System, visit Martin County’s website, and search Code Red. Or, click on the link below.
