Coast Guard searches for missing boaters who left from Stuart
MIAMI — The Coast Guard is searching for two people reported overdue in the West Atlantic Ocean, Thursday.
Missing are Sasha McPhee, 37, and Jerome Burrows, 37, both from the Bahamas.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Miami received a report from the brother-in-law of Burrows. He said the two were overdue aboard a 29-foot yacht. The yacht had reportedly left Stuart, Florida, Wednesday at approximately 9:30 a.m., and were scheduled to arrive in West End, Bahamas later that day.

Crews from the Coast Guard Cutter Cochito, a Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane and a Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater HC-130 Hercules airplane are searching.
