The Port St. Lucie Civic Center’s Art Gallery is proud to announce the opening of its latest exhibit, “From the Heart Juried Photo Exhibition 2015,” presented by the Treasure Coast Photography Center in honor of Jeff Linn. The exhibit will open with a free reception at the Art Gallery on Thursday, Dec. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. An Awards Ceremony will also be held to announce the winners in four categories, including “Best in Show.”
Light refreshments of hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served and live music will be performed at the reception, which opens the latest in the Civic Center’s rotating art exhibits.
The exhibit will run through January 28, 2016.
The third annual From the Heart Juried Photo Exhibition is a sponsored eight-week photo exhibition and is being conducted in support of Family Meals, Inc., a Fort Pierce, Florida-based nonprofit community outreach organization whose mission is to provide ingredients for holiday home-cooked family meals for the working poor and for families who may not qualify for food stamps or free school lunch programs. This family outreach program is designed to encourage family mealtimes by providing families the tools to get back to the basics – meal times together. The Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
