Captain Henry Sewall’s House

About Captain Henry Sewall’s House

Captain Henry Sewall’s House is a historic venue located within Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach, Florida. Built in 1889, the estate has become a unique setting for community and private events, including weddings and meetings.

The home served as the Sewall’s Point post office when Captain Sewall was the postmaster in 1891. After years of restoration, the building was opened to the public in 2012.

Visitors can enjoy free historical tours of Captain Henry Sewall’s House on the first and third Wednesday of each month, from November through May. The venue has a maximum indoor capacity of 35 guests, while larger gatherings can be accommodated on the deck.

A walkway in the rear of the Captain Henry Sewall House provides a trail through the mangrove forest behind the property.
