The Boys & Girls Clubs relies on individuals and businesses to assist in its mission of ensuring that kids reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Club received a $5,000 contribution from the Peter W. Busch Family Foundation after the widespread vandalism to the Garden Terrace Unit and administrative office in the William Center in Fort Pierce.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County thanks the Peter W. Busch Foundation for their generous support and their donation towards reopening our Garden Terrace Unit.  These funds has also supported transportation to field trips this week for the 150 Club members that are still not able to come back to their Club due to the extensive clean up that must be done for health reasons due to the vandalism.

“When I heard about the break in at the B&G’s Club, I immediately wanted to make sure they got up and running as soon as possible. The club does wonderful things for the boys and girls in our community and gives them a safe place to go and learn. All kids deserve a fair shot at life and the boys and girls club gives a lot of kids that chance,” said Philip Busch.

“The Peter W. Busch Family Foundation has been a long time supporter of not only our organization but the community at-large. Their support during these challenging times enabled us to continue to serve the 150 youth who were displaced. We cannot thank the Peter W. Busch Family Foundation enough for helping us get our doors opened again for our Club members,” said Michael A. Sancho, chief executive officer.
