Body of missing Port St. Lucie man found dead in canal

The body of a man who was recently reported missing was found in a canal Saturday afternoon, Port St. Lucie police said.

Calvin Berry’s body was found floating in a canal along SE Fallon Drive near Starflower Avenue around 1:30 p.m.

Berry was reported missing on March 12, 2021 from his home in Port St Lucie. There is no evidence at this point to suggest foul-play. This investigation is still “active” as they are waiting for the official autopsy & toxicology findings.

Original Release: On March 13, 2021 at approximately 1:30pm Port St Lucie Police responded to the 1900 Blk of SE Fallon Dr in reference to a person floating in the canal. Port St Lucie Police Marine Patrol and Crime Scene Investigators located a deceased Hispanic or Black male floating in the canal. The male is approximately 40-50 years old, wearing a shirt, shorts, and shoes.

Port St Lucie Police Detectives arrived and are attempting to identify the male. The unidentified male will be taken to the Medical Examiners Office. No further information will be released at this point.
